Egyptian Donkey Ride / Oil on textured board
Layered colours and crackled gesso make up this dynamic and colourful oil by the artist. It has a “reach out and touch me feel” says Trevor. Colours fracture the surface and the subject of Egyptian men and donkeys rush to their fields to load up baskets of alfalfa and other foods for sale at market. Trevor has captured a typical rural scene in Egypt and with his bold colours and applications and it makes this work of art a unique piece. From his show “Egypt and Beyond” Egyptian Donkey Ride remains a generic classic from that exhibition.
