Moroccan Street Scene
A new work from Trevor following a recent visit in November 2017 to Marrakech. This seemingly complex scene is in fact a simple everyday event in Morocco. The hubbub of daily trading and unloading of goods in a Marrakech street filled with shops. ” I love painting these sort of scenes where small things interlock together to form a whole, the light simply has to be right for it to happen.” Dark shadows in the middle distance invite the viewer in and the colours of the roadway lead us to the main figure and shops.
