San Barnaba, Venice” One of my favourite places in the whole of Venice ! I drink coffee first thing in the morning here, in the cafe on the left side of this painting and often sketch people as they come and go. A beautiful place to be in.”
San Barnaba is one of the oldest local districts in Venice that still retains its own identity and authenticity in spite of being a thorough fare for tourists and visitors, and there is always a sense of deep rooted history in this place, that is distinctly different from it’s neighbouring areas. San Barnaba is of itself, unto itself.
