This genre piece was completed after a painting trip to Valencia in Spain, working with students. Oil on prepared board at 20″ x 16″ it depicts a sunlit walkway and it’s casual nature suggests a snap shot impression, rather than a worked up composition. The painting captures the light in Spain as it falls across the walkway from right to left in the painting. ” I like painting the effects of sunlight, and this type of view is guaranteed on a daily basis in Spain. I tried to encapsulate a moment in time.”
