Waiting Gondolas

Waiting Gondolas Venice is a watercolour painted at the Rialto Bridge, one of Trevor’s favourite places to visit in Venice. This is inspired by a recent trip (2016) with fellow Artists¬†Darlas Hunter and Mary Grundy. “We all went to Venice to get inspired” said Trevor ¬†“That city never fails to deliver it’s romance, and we walked the length and breadth of it in our task. It is a magical place and a painters paradise.” The watercolour contains a pair of gondolas waiting to be hired, and the scene has an absence of people yet still conveys the sense of expectancy.
